For this project, I will be developing a name, tagline, brandmark, and logotype for a fictitious restaurant you create. I will select two to three defining characteristics for each of my two initial restaurant concepts.

Concept 1: Build Your Own Kabob

Concept: For this concept, I envisioned a modernized restaurant that provides a large variety of organic and locally sourced ingredients that customers are able to choose from to create their own kabob. I believe the gimmick of customization in restaurants can be very profitable, but it’s not often that you see it done outside of a sandwich setting. I believe Kabobs provide the perfect opportunity for this, because it is easily accessible for vegans, vegetarians, and those with dietary restrictions as well. I envision the interior of this restaurant to be bright, with lots of natural sunlight and popping colors. Less of a sit down restaurant, and more of a stop-in location, though customers can still eat there if they wish. I envision an assembly line style service, where customers select what fruit, vegetables, or meat they’d like on their skewer, and get to watch the process of it being grilled. I believe this restaurant would be successful for a variety of reasons, including the gimmick of customization, being suitable for many dietary needs, being quick due to the simplicity of a kabob, and due to the fact that it is an idea that isn’t commonly done.

Name Ideas

  • Kabob Craft / Kabob Kraft
  • Shish & Shield (themed after a blacksmith due kabobs originating from people eating off of swords)
  • Kabob Carnival (carnival themed bright colors, etc)

Slogan Ideas

  • Kabobs built to perfection
  • Let’s talk kabob
  • Everything you want, on a stick
  • Life is better on a stick / Food is better on a stick
  • Eat like a Knight
  • Endless possibilities

Concept 2: Build your own Parfait

Concept: For this concept, I envisioned a modernized restaurant that provides a large variety of organic and locally sourced ingredients that customers are able to choose from to create their own parfait. I believe the gimmick of customization in restaurants can be very profitable, but it’s not often that you see it done outside of a sandwich setting. Parfaits are an interesting food, because they can be utilized as both a dessert, and a healthy option depending on what you use. I envision this restaurant having clean, muted vibes. Since parfaits are a French dish, I could easily see a French theme being incorporated into the interior design. With a target audience of health-aligned women most likely, it would be similar to restaurants serving health foods like yogurt bowls, etc. I think this restaurant would be great because it would offer healthy options for both a snack, and dessert, and because it has a catchy gimmick. Being able to select and customize your own toppings and flavors in the parfait makes them more desirable for people who are very selective with their diet.

Name Ideas

  • Parfait Palace
  • Perfect Parfait / Parfait Perfect
  • Picky Parfait
  • Picture Parfait

Slogan Ideas

  • Parfait, any time of day
  • Perfect day for a parfait
  • Everything you want in a cup
  • Simply Parfait
  • Quality ingredients, quality parfaits
